Priesthood Session of Conference

Eric and Connor were lucky enough to snag 2 tickets and a parking pass to the Priesthood Session of General Conference. They hopped in the truck this morning and drove to Salt Lake. What an awesome experience for the two of them to have together! I can't wait to hear what the talks were about!

My boy and my favorite Apostle!

My first 5k

ST. LUKE'S WOMEN'S FITNESS CELEBRATION!

Ok so I totally walked the entire way but...I paid, I entered, I arrived and I completed a 5k :)

Thanks to my sister Tessa for organizing us!! Our team was my mom, me, Tessa and her 2 daughters Kate and Kennedy. Kennedy was in the stroller only half the time and the rest of the time she was running!

We had a great time. Definitely something to do next year. I told Tessa that I would enter the blue wave with her next year (run/ walk). She kindly declined and said she really enjoyed taking her girls with her and they couldn't run so she wanted to stay in the orange wave (walkers only) for a few more years. YES!!!! I totalllly got out of having to train and run next year...hahaha...

Cooper is a 2nd grader

Connor is in 8th grade- LAST year before high school--yikes!!

A TEMPLE!!

(I cut and pasted this from desertnews.com) SALT LAKE CITY — The announcement of three new LDS Church temples in North America — in Colorado, Idaho and Canada — highlighted President Thomas S. Monson's opening address in the Saturday morning session of the church's 181st annual general conference. The three — announced for Fort Collins, Colo.; Meridian, Idaho; and Winnipeg, Canada — means that in addition to the 134 temples operating worldwide, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints now counts another 26 temples as announced or under construction. "This will certainly be a blessing for the members in those areas," President Monson said. Located 11 miles west of Boise, Meridian is Idaho's third-largest city. With a presence in the state since 1855, the LDS Church has more than 410,000 members in Idaho. The new Meridian temple will be Idaho's fifth, with Mormon temples already in Boise, Idaho Falls, Rexburg and Twin Falls. We are soooo excited about this. We were watching conference at home and Eric jokingly said "Meridian, Idaho" right before the Prophet said it. Then the Prophet said it and we looked at each other, cheered and literally high fived each other. Since we were watching from home it was ok. :) We can't wait to find out where the site will be and when the ground breaking is. We live in Meridian so it won't be far!!

Artist.....

If you read the blog I do for our missionary (elderkatzakian.blogspot.com) you would have seen the recent post of me bragging about the picture Brock drew and about how he used to draw for hours when he was younger etc. Eric can also draw really well. I think the littlest Nelson is trying to join their club!

I saw this on my wall and said, "Cody! What did you do? What is that?"
He ran over to me and said in a very happy voice "I drew it. It's a rocket mommy!" He didn't seem to fully understand my question! I didn't care what it was...I wanted to know why he colored on my walls! This is not the first time he has colored on the walls, furniture etc. I probably shouldn't think these pictures are so cute...but I do! He was sooo mad that he had to clean off his rocket picture!
