All of my boys have loved to play trains. It started with Connor, moved to Cooper and now my little Cody plays trains. I love to watch them play. Each of them lay down and get their face as close to the track as they can and watch as they push their train along. Watching Cody playing trains makes me realize that he is not a baby anymore. He is becoming a little boy. That makes me very sad and very happy all at the same time!
These two trains are as old as Connor. They are losing their paint, their wheels doing always turn right BUT they are so well loved and I can't bring myself to replacing them. Most of our trains look like this and most (including the orange train track) are from when Connor was 1 or 2 years old. aaaahhhh...my babies are growing up!
You should save those two trains forever...they are sweet! One year for Christmas we got Jason a wooden train set. Cheap, plain, old-fashioned...but I thought why not? All the other modern, electronic, expensive stuff could not even compare to the wooden, cheap, plain, old-fashioned train stuff. He played with ONLY the train stuff for weeks. We still have them...I learned a valuable lesson that Christmas! I love this blog post!
ReplyDeleteCharles is crazy about trains. You get to build and move stuff, what could be better?
